SCHEDULE:
Juhu Beach, does bear some restrictions, one is not to venture or tour the beach at night due to the breaching of safety hazards. Hence the only actual times that one may visit the beach is in the morning to the late evening. Soon after you may be advised to exit the vicinity. Visiting the beach in the early dawn is what we reccomend one to do as not only do you avoid the mass mobs on the beach however you are also greeted by an amazing sun-rise.
DESCRIPTION:
One of the most well-known places amongst the locals here in Mumbai is the all-sunny Juhu Beach. Juhu Beach is one of the longest beaches in not only Mumbai but the whole of India. Stretching 6km long the beach spans from the suburb of outer Juhu all the way to Versova. Juhu Beach is meeted by the mostly pleasant waves of the Arabian Sea. Many hotels span the stretch of the beach. One may stumble upon the Ramada Plaza, Novotel Juhu and the Sea Princess. Scattered along the beach there are also many food vendors. We do strongly advise that one not choose to go for many meals from these street vendors as it may be slightly unsafe in terms of food protocol. We do highly reccomend the Novotel Juhu. Considering the location of the beach, nestled in the heart of the Juhu Beach, Novotel offers one soothing views of the beach and even holds some parts of the beach as their private beach! The Juhu Beach is a great place to unwind and refuel yourself. Spend some time in the sun!
PRICE INCLUDES:
The Juhu Beach is a fully public beach and there is no such entry fee to the beach hence do not get waddled into paying any sums of money to any "guides". When it comes to street food, a plate of "Sev Puri" or "Dahi Puri" should not cost more that 50 INR! If one is looking for a decent hotel in the vicinity than that should cost no more than 5,000 INR. Mind you that these hotels may not sport a private beach or pool! In the case that one would like to stay at a more high-end hotel that one may opt for the Novotel Juhu or the JW Marriot, a night at one of these hotels would cost around 7,000-10,000. Again, such prices are dependant on the number of visitors and the number of rooms.
DON'T FORGET:
The Juhu Beach is a very sunny location and to avoid sun-burn don't forget to apply a decent wad of sunblock! We also advise that one carries a spare change of clothes as you may choose to enter the water! Another useful yet optional saver is a small waterproof bag for one's valuables such as phones and wallets!
OUR TIPS:
Mumbai endorses a population of about 12 million, hence the beach is bound to be at the least ,quite crowded. To avoid this crowd there is no easy way. We reccomed those who choose to visit the beach visit early in the morning, as the weather is pleasant and not too many people in and around the beach!
