We here at DISCOVER MUMBAI feel that Prithvi has a lot to offer excluding the numerous plays it endorses. When booking tickets we highly reccomend actually visiting the Audiorium and booking tickets for another day, we avise all to book their tickets in advance at the limited seating is a factor that is against those hoping for a last minute ticket! We also reccomend one to sit back and relax at the Prithvi cafe, the Cutting Chai and Irish Tea are to die for!

DESCRIPTION:

The Prithvi Theatre is a world class auditorium housing 200 in one single theatre. The lack of seats is due to the Prithvi Philosphy. One could identrify that Prithvi Theatre is not a money minded buisness. They believe in promoting first class theatre, with an arena stage the Prithvi Theatre has a specially designed black box which proves for a great view of each and every seat! The Prithvi Theatre despite being known as "Mini Bollywood" doesn not only endorse Hindi plays however is also a patron of English Drama's. Regarding Genres, theatre-goers are presented with numerous options when it comes to the mode of play they are to choose, one may find everything from comedy to romance at the Prithvi Theatre. One may also choose to dine or snack out at the Prithvi Cafe, known for its Cutting Chai and Irish Tea!

PRICE INCLUDES:

Prices at the Prithvi are not over the top however they do vary according to each play, it is highly reccommended that one books tickets in advance as due to the limited seating tickets are scarce hand hard to get your mits on. The price of the ticket includes nothing but entry into the auditorium and the viewing of the drama. Depending on the type of seat or class one may be priced higher. Tickets can be booked through a number methods, if one pleases they may choose to visit the actual theatre book their tickets for another day,have a light snack at the Prithvi Cafe and go back to "base camp". Otherwise there are also may other online and app options such as BookMyShow and other such products.

DON'T FORGET:

Being a theatre, decorum is a large part of the viewing experience, please remember your manners when in attendance. When booking your chosen play make sure that the actual drama is in English, there are no runnig subtitles or after-translations, hence this is very important to make sure your money doesn't go to waste!

OUR TIPS:

The Prithvi Theatre is not one of those cold baron auditoriums however carries a personality of its own, it is a place in which can relax, detox and enjoy a mouth-watering cup of Irish Tea! If you have the time we highly advise one to come to the location quite early and have a look around before entering the auditorium. Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the show.
